🌟 A Brilliant Day at the Houses of Parliament! 🌟 A Brilliant Day at the Houses of Parliament! 🌟

Thirty of our students enjoyed an unforgettable trip to London as they travelled by train to the Houses of Parliament for a full day of learning, exploring, and experiencing democracy in action.

The day began with an 11km walking tour of the capital, expertly led by Mr Gee, taking in some of London’s most iconic sights under beautifully sunny skies.

Inside Parliament, students took part in a guided tour, gaining a behind‑the‑scenes look at one of the most important buildings in the country. They were also lucky enough to witness live debates in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, covering topics such as youth unemployment and representations to Fujitsu regarding interim payments linked to the Post Office Horizon case. A powerful opportunity to see real decision‑making in action.

A huge thank you to Charlotte Cane, MP for Ely and East Cambridgeshire, who joined the students for a follow‑up workshop with the Parliament Education Team. The session focused on the role of petitions, and Charlotte generously spent time answering questions and explaining her work within Parliament.

☀️ A fantastic day of learning, walking, and inspiration in the heart of our capital.

Your generosity will make a real difference to families in our community.

There will be plenty happening throughout the day, including:

🎶 A charity concert

🌟 Outstanding Golfing Achievement from Bottisha 🌟 Outstanding Golfing Achievement from Bottisham Students! ⛳️
We are incredibly proud of the five Bottisham students who represented the college at the County round of the English National Schools Golf Competition at St Ives Golf Club over the weekend:

William

The conditions were exceptionally challenging, with strong winds and a demanding course layout, yet each of our students rose to the occasion with real determination, resilience and skill.
Their performances embody the high standards, ambition and character we strive for at Bottisham Village College. A huge well done to all involved!
