Today our Year 7 students took part in an excellen Today our Year 7 students took part in an excellent Anti‑Racism assembly delivered by Mpula Lawton. Mpula, a UK‑based lawyer, educator and founder of ARISE: Anti‑Racism in Schools & Education, works with schools nationwide to promote inclusion, equity and meaningful anti‑racist practice. Her session was engaging, challenging and brilliantly pitched for our students. It also strengthens the work already embedded across our curriculum, where themes of equality, respect and inclusion play a crucial role in every child’s journey at Bottisham Village College. A big thank you to Mpula for inspiring our students today.
Tonight’s Debate – Bottisham Village College Tonight’s Debate – Bottisham Village College As the Winter Olympics begin, our Debate Society is taking on a timely motion: “This House believes that the Olympic ideal of ‘pure sport’ is a myth.” A brilliant topic, bound to spark challenge, insight and plenty of healthy controversy. 📚 Bottisham’s Great Reading Adventure Begins! 📚 Bottisham’s Great Reading Adventure Begins! As part of Going All In for the National Year of Reading, we’re excited to launch Bottisham’s Great Reading Adventure — a challenge for our whole community to complete seven reading activities between now and 1 June 2026. Students can earn plenty of house points along the way, and those who complete the full adventure will enjoy a local outing in the summer term. Full details are available now on Go 4 Schools. 📚 Celebrating Our Year 10 Reading Champions! 📚 As part of our whole‑college reading strategy, a brilliant group of Year 10 students have stepped up to become Reading Champions — supporting and inspiring our younger learners by reading with them each week.
