๐ Final Debate of 2024: Students vs. Teachers! ๐
What a year it has been for the Bottisham Village College Debating Society! ๐ As we wrap up 2024, weโre thrilled to announce our final debate of the year, and itโs going to be a festive showdown like no other!
๐ฅ The Motion: This house believes that Christmas has become too commercial.

Year 11 Power Duo: Felix & Raghav
Teacher Titans: Mr. Clifton-Brown & Mr. Compton
This epic battle between students and teachers promises to be an exciting clash of wit, rhetoric, and festive cheer. ๐โจ Will the teachers play the wise sages, or will our Year 11 stars outshine them under the Christmas lights?
This final debate isnโt just about the Christmas spirit; itโs also a celebration of how far our society has come this year. From heated exchanges on climate policy to thought-provoking discussions on AI, our sessions have been filled with passion, learning, and growth.
Weโre so proud to see our numbers swelling with students from all year groups joining in and making their voices heard. The enthusiasm, talent, and camaraderie in our debating society are a true testament to the vibrant community here at Bottisham.
