The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is the most widely recognised lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and a recruitment requirement for a number of Leisure Industry jobs.
The RLSS UK’s National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is internationally recognised, which means you can travel and keep working as a pool lifeguard around the world!
Working as a lifeguard is often the first step to start a career in the leisure industry, being an ideal qualification for students wishing to work during their school/university term and holidays. It can also be one of the most flexible jobs in the industry.
The current price for the NPLQ is only £280.00 including text book and an initial examination fee. Anyone failing a section of the course either the multiple choice paper or the practical test and wishing to retake the exam will have to a pay a £25.00 (payable in advance) reassessment fee.

Candidates must be 16 years or older on completion of course and must be able to swim 50m within 65 seconds.
