Woodwork – Intermediate and Advanced
Woodwork - Intermediate and Advanced
If you have basic woodworking skills and are fairly confident with using tools, this course aims to encourage learners of all ages to enjoy creating an item in the media of wood.
You will learn new skills to enable you to design and make an item of your choice and ability. This will include preparation of materials, setting out frameworks and structures, preparation for gluing and assembly, cleaning up and finishing. Techniques will be taught by demonstration to the group or on a one-to-one basis.
You will be working individually on your own project, many aspects of woodwork can be covered.
The session will be split into:
- Intermediate – Learners with basic woodworking experience. The earlier start time will allow the tutor time to give individual attention.
- Advanced – Learners with greater woodworking experience. The later finish time will enable the tutor to assist with the more difficult skills and techniques.
