Talking about sex and sexuality: Awareness Day (CPD Workshop) 22/04/23
Presented by Bruce Tate
Myths and challenging beliefs still surround sex, sexuality and sexual orientation. The workshop will help participants to explore their beliefs and attitudes around sex in order that they may bring this awareness into their client work. We will look at how messages and beliefs from childhood may influence ourselves and clients in the present.
Methods:
The workshop will consist of individual work, group discussion and experiential exercises.
By the end of the day, the participants will :
• feel more comfortable talking about sexual issues in the counselling
room
• have a raised awareness of issues surrounding sexual expression
• have a simple model to help with clients who are experiencing
sexual difficulties
