Discover how tasty 'Vegetarian Indian food can be!

Indian vegetarian food is more popular than ever before. This Saturday workshop will give you the practical experience to create healthy, tasty food using distinct blends of herbs and spices.
You will prepare a set menu of 5 popular dishes to take home and share with family and friends. Ingredients can be adapted to suit special dietary needs.
The menu incudes: Lemon Rice with spices, Tomato, Cucumber and Mint Raita – Yoghurt dish, Okra Curry – Lady’s fingers curry, Dhal Masala – Lentil dish with fresh spices, Puris – Indian

Your Tutor: Rama Ram
Rama comes from southern India and has been living in Great Britain for the last 50 years.  Rama’s authentic cookery skills were learnt from her mother and are based on healthy and
tasty home-cooking. Having taught Indian Cookery for many years in and around Cambridge, Rama has also written 3 books and is a frequent guest speaker at many Women’s Institutes.

What you will need to bring to the session
• an apron
• a clean tea towel

• Dishes to take the food home in
• A packed lunch and refreshments

Requirements for the course
An ingredients list for the workshop will be available from the Adult Learning office a week in advance. You will need to provide your own ingredients. Some herbs and spices will be provided by the tutor and a small payment for these can be made to the tutor on the day.
